The past 12-hours

I got home from work yesterday to find that Rocco had chewed a hole in the comforter that we use in our spare bedroom. Actually, I guess the accurate description is that he chewed a hole in the comforter and then proceeded to pull out the stuffing.

The thing is, Rocco is a big boy. And we don't want to crate him, nor do we have a crate big enough for him. So usually we "baby gate" him into our kitchen when we are at work. Because of the heat and humidity this week, we have been "baby gating" Rocco into the spare bedroom where its cooler. Yes, its cooler in there, but there is also more temptation in there. Rocco will eat ANYTHING. And a futon or a comforter or a rug is all fair game to him. We try to "Rocco proof" as much as we can, but its never enough.
Yesterday Rocco had a bit of "the runs", You know what I mean. My husband had him outside at 1am, and when I got up for work at 5:20am this morning, Rocco had an accident in the spare bedroom. So I am scrubbing out the rug, running to the little local grocery store (thankfully open at 5am) to buy rice for Rocco's stomach irritation, then cooking the rice for Rocco, trying to shower and get ready for work...all before 5:45am this morning.
Welcome to 12-hours in the life of Rocco. Destroying a comforter and accidents in the house.
We can't wait to see what he will do next. (sarcasm).
