Monkey see.....

We seem to have a case of "monkey see, monkey do" in our house.

Rocco has always had cravings for unnatural non-food items.

Like toilet paper.

And spoons.

And rugs.

And grass.

Ah, grass. Overtly abundant this time of year. And Rocco is an equal opportunity grass eater. Freshly mowed, freshly watered, wilted, drying out, long, short....the boy just loves to eat grass.

Its a habit of which we just can't break him.

And now, his partner in crime Molly has joined in the fun.
Rocco eats grass and does not get sick. Molly sees Rocco doing it, so she has to do it, too. But poor Molly does get sick.

Monkey see, monkey do.

Why can't they imitate the others GOOD traits?

Today...

I am fighting off a summer cold.
I just want to plop on the couch and watch some mindless TV.
But this is what blocks my view....

Welcome to my world.

Or should I say, Rocco's World.

Chasing Dragonflies

Rocco was outside a few days ago, and when I tried to get him to come back into the house, he would have no part of it. He was much too busy chasing a dragonfly that was circling our pool.
The dragonfly would dart and weave, effortlessly soaring close to Rocco, but not too close.
On the other hand, Rocco was jumping and grunting and whining, twisting into the air like a bungee dog, determined to catch that dragonfly.
Beauty and the Beast.
And in the end:
Dragonfly 1
Rocco 0

Poor Rocco...

While we were off in Mexico for 7-days...

Photobucket

our poor baby Rocco and Molly were boarded. I called to check on them almost everyday. I felt terrible leaving them! We got home on Friday, July 4th, and Rocco slept and ate for 2-straight days.

He sure was happy to be home.

And actually, we were, too. It was much too quiet for 7-days without them.
